Come down and check out the 2022 Australian Indigenous Surf Titles event at Bells Beach Victoria from 27th to the 29th May.
It’s like no other surfing competition...
Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander surfers and their families come from all over Australia to surf the iconic Bells Beach surf break on Wadawurrung country over 2 days and we are committed to this wonderful surfing event because of its difference – it’s not so much a contest of pitting surfer against surfer but more about enjoying surfing and encouraging best performance.
After 2 years of uncertainty and the event cancelation due to covid restrictions we are stoked to be back partnering with Surfing Victoria and Rip Curl to help make this event a real treat for all the participants.
For us it’s a give back. We’ve always enjoyed our involvement with our indigenous artists and it’s a privilege to have their artwork on our Headsox headwear. Events like the Indigenous Surf Titles are important to us as we want to give back to the sports that we participate and in doing so show leadership in our collective journey to a deeper appreciation and understanding of our First Nations People and their Culture.
So come on down and dip your toe in ‘salt water’ culture that goes back 60,000 years. We look forward to seeing you there!
P.S. The first 10 people to find Phil (Mr Headsox) at the event and say G'day get a free Headsox.
