About Us

Who we are
The Headsox® brand was created in 2008 by a collective of graphic designers and artists originally from Melbourne. In 2011 we relocated to Torquay on the Surf Coast of Victoria. We are passionate about art communication, culture and outdoor education. We love surfing, mountain biking, motorcycles, hiking adventures and being active outdoors and we are committed to protecting our wildlife, planet and oceans for future generations to enjoy.

Why Headsox
Headsox are wearable art that connects people to culture and country: hopefully inspiring us to walk together and enjoy life’s adventures outdoors.

Headsox can be worn many ways, they are light and flexible and are UV rated up to 50+ UPF. Headsox are super comfy warm in winter and cool in summer, they can be worn wet or dry and are the perfect head and neckwear accessory to have in your kit when you’re active outdoors.

Social Conscience
We are keenly aware of our impact on people and the planet and our responsibility towards both is at the fore front of every decision we make. By looking at our impact areas, we have set out a roadmap to enrich and educate and contribute to our community through collaboration, cherishing our materials and minimise our waste.

Headsox are ethically made and we strive to put as much energy back in to our community and the outdoor activities we participate in.

We acknowledge with respect and gratitude the traditional owners of Wadawurrung Land and recognise their continuing connection to Land, Waters and Community. We pay our respects to Elders both past, present and emerging.

It's like no other surf contest and we hope to see you there.

Community Support Program
The Andrew Love Cancer Centre (Geelong) for their wonderful dedication and service to people and families effected by cancer.

Feed Me Surf Coast
In 2021 we purchased a mobile kitchen caravan to help Feed Me Surf Coast bring good food to the people living on the Surf Coast post Covid. We named her 'Gloria' after my mum who loved cooking for me and my friends. In memory of my dear mum we are stoked to see Gloria travelling around our local community serving up tasty food at various functions and community events helping to bring good food and joy to us all! A big thank you to Brooke and the Feed Me Surf Coast volunteers for all that you do. We reckon you're pretty cool!

Wildlife Conservation
Headsox Ocean Life is a partnership with the Australian Marine Conservation Society (AMCS) Together we stand up for our oceans and for the rights of all wildlife to exist in healthy sustainable environments.

Made from 100% recycled yarn: Your AMCS Ocean Life Headsox purchase is helping to reduce plastic in our oceans and 10% of your purchase goes directly to AMCS to help support their programs to protect our oceans and wildlife.

A BIG Thank you to all our customers for your business and ongoing support.
